I study how factory managers around Zhejiang province view environmental protection, waste reuse, and pollution. I document how these attitudes shape their practices at the firm level.

This website documents of my factory visits in narrative form. My intent is to improve understanding of these factories and their managers. My analysis is not meant to solely criticize or praise, though both are done. My claims are not necessarily representative of all factories in China.

Although I have anonymized names to protect privacy, nothing has been fictionalized. The stories recount my experience and presents the facts to the best of my knowledge.
